About Us

Pastor Joey Henderson is the founder and pastor of Healing Springs Church Of God In Christ in Detroit, Michigan. Elder Henderson was anointed and commissioned by God to share the news of Christ, and build a church based on the foundation of Biblical teachings. A community activist, Pastor Henderson is a member of the Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction Southwest Michigan, Bishop Earl J. Wright Sr. Prelate, and is celebrating 13 years of ministry.

First Lady Sandra Henderson

In one of her many duties as the first lady of Healing Springs C.O.G.I.C. Sister Sandra Henderson serves as the Director of the Daughters of Zion. It is her desire to help women of all ages find and achieve the love, peace and wisdom of God in all areas of their lives.

She and Pastor Henderson have three sons Jarrod Henderson, Shannon Henderson, and Sterling Henderson.

Associate Ministers
Rev. Willie B. Campbell, is an Associate Pastor who has been blessed to see threescore and ten. He teaches Sunday School and Bible Study on Wednesday evenings. He has been married for forty years and has one son.

Rev. Perry Farrell is a Preacher and Evangelist that loves God's people with all his heart. Rev Farrell teaches Adult Bible Study and Evangelism classes. He has two beautiful daughters.

The Five Fold Ministry

The Healing Springs Church of God ministries were organized to provide solid scriptural principles to help individuals of all walks of life deal with the reality of their world and God's plan for their life. The ministries are dedicated to building our Christ family and friends potential spiritually as well as mentally.

Daughters of Zion

This ministry emphasizes the need to help women in crisis. Dealing with the plague of compromising, with solid scriptural principles that God had provided for them to walk in victory. Bridging the gap between religion and reality by teaching the word of God with simplicity, understanding and love. Our mission is to aid young women in developing skills that will empower them to build healthy interpersonal and personal relationships, and eliminate unwanted social behaviors.

Prodigal Son Ministry

Teaching men of all ages that it's not until they weary from trying to unlock their own resources do they come to the Lord. Life has chiseled many of us into mere fragments of who we are meant to be. The Lord wants to help you realize who you are and what you are graced to do. Brokenness is a must for becoming a true vessel of the Lord, and is a stepping stone to revival in our hearts.

Senior Citizens Outreach Ministry

Assisting the elderly in dealing with budgeting on a fixed income. Dealing with the high cost of prescriptions, medical bills, bereavement and loneliness can be a hindrance for many. We help our seniors by supplementing their needs and lending a helping hand.

Community Outreach Ministry

Supporting the people in our community by providing healthy food to ensure a well-balanced meal. In today’s economy many of our families are single parents or widows. We provide extra support to our families by providing the extra piece of bread or glass milk to feed their children.

Feed the Children Ministry

Educating our children with the word of God to help them balance. Our children have been thrown into a society of challenges, not by their own choice, but by situations and circumstance unforeseen. Some of our children are really struggling to stay on the right track of life. We help keep them motivated to succeed because a little push in the right direction can make a big difference.
